Chasing Sunshine ( Happiness)

During the “sunny” days in Seattle, I would commute to school in the morning while it’s still dim. When I’m inside the classroom, the sun comes out. Usually when I have to study at school, work at my job, or if I’m just stuck at home being depressed, I’m inside blocked away from the sunshine. When I leave school/work, I can see the the sun setting just ahead of me at the same direction I’m driving to. Sometimes I feel like speeding up, trying to bypass traffic just so I can feel the warmth of the sunlight hitting my skin or making it home in time to enjoy the sunshine. On some days, I just stay behind slow cars when I’m sad or in deep thought. Either way, by the time I get home the sun has already set.

I feel like sunshine in Seattle weather is like me chasing an open opportunity/happiness. Sometimes your schedule, mood, or even a rainy/cloudy day can get in the way of your sunshine and you feel stuck underneath the shaded dark. When it’s available you have to, make sure you don’t have work that needs to be finished, dodge/overcome any obstacles that can slow you down, and have the right timing. When that time is right, you’ll be able to reach that little ray of sunshine.

This is to most of my colleagues and working friends that can relate. I know most of us are feeling down like something is missing. We may or may not know what we are exactly trying pursue. No matter what that thing is we feel like is missing, I know it’s all for happiness. After our hard work and giving some time/patience, it will all pay off.
